Talofa!

Welcome.

The American Samoa Geographic Information System (ASGIS) Users Group consists of representatives from government agencies, private organization, and off island collaborators involved in GIS activates in the US Territory of American Samoa. The American Samoa GIS (Geographic Information System) Users group was first convened in February of 2001 as an informal grassroots effort among both public and private entities that have an interest in GIS development in the territory. Meetings are held at participating agencies on a rotational basis. These meetings are held to discuss GIS-related issues, activities, and initiatives occurring in the territory.

We welcome you to explore this site where you can find information, data standards, news, proposals, and GIS related activities in American Samoa. Look at our Maps link to view and print maps of the territory. If you are looking for shared data (mostly vector datasets) check out our data link. For fun facts about the territory visit the About section and click on American Samoa. To access our interactive Tutuila Hazards Assessment Tool (t_hat) just click on the t_hat link.
